Flaxseed Oil 1000mg 90 Capsules.
What is Flaxseed Oil?
Flaxseed Oil is a naturally rich source of the Omega 3 fatty acid Alpha-Liolenic acid, the Omega 6 fatty acid Linoleic Acid and the Omega 9 fatty acid Oleic acid.
Omega 3, 6 & 9 are the "good" fats needed for different functions within the body. These fatty acids are essential as the body does not make them itself so they have to be obtained from the diet or supplements.
The flax plant, an ancient crop, yields the fibre from which linen is woven, as well as seeds (linseed or flaxseed) and oil. The oil, also called linseed oil, has many industrial uses - it is an important ingredient in paints, varnishes and linoleum for example.
Like olive, canola, and most other plant oils, flax seed oil is highly unsaturated. Lignans and other flax seed components have antioxidant properties, which means they may reduce the activity of cell-damaging free radicals.
