What is Milk Thistle?
Milk Thistles are thistles of the genus SilybumAdans: flowering plants of the daisy family (Asteraceae). It is commonly found growing wild in a variety of settings, including roadsides. The dried fruit (also called achenes) are used to produce modern herbal extracts. They contain aflavonoid complex known as silymarin.
What Does Milk Thistle Do?
May help to maintain a healthy liver protecting its cells by blocking the entrance of harmful toxins and helping remove them. It may also regenerate injured liver cells.
May help to maintain a healthy gallbladder by altering bile make-up.
As with other bioflavonoids, silymarin is a powerful antioxidant.
Ingredients
Each capsule contains:
Milk Thistle Extract 35:1 163mg Providing 80% Silymarin 130.4mg.
(Equivalent to 5700mg of Pure Milk Thistle)
Other Ingredients:
Microcrystalline Cellulose, Stone Ground Rice, Magnesium Stearate.
Directions for Use
Take three capsules daily with meals.

Since silymarin may stimulate liver and gallbladder activity, it may have a mild, transient laxative effect in some people. This will usually cease within two to three days.
